Job Description for Coral Future Off Campus Drive 2022
We are currently seeking interns in India to help us identify non-governmental organizations (NGOs)/ social enterprises working on:
- Decentralized heating/ lighting solutions (e.g., solar rooftop, biogas & biochar plants, efficient cookstoves, etc.) for remote or off-grid communities in grassroots India
- Nature-based solutions i.e., agroforestry, reforestation, soil-based carbon capture, etc.
Responsibilities
- Identify organizations/ enterprises working on decentralized energy solutions for communities (desktop research + field calls)
- Shortlist organizations & conduct on-field research on their solutions
- Critical analysis of unique solutions provided for unique geographies (across India)
- Identify GHG mitigation potential and scale
- Identify alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) & additional social impacts of such solutions
- Creation of a report enlisting findings, learnings & suggestions/ critical review of solutions provided
Skills Required For Coral Future Off Campus Drive 2022
- M.A. in Social Work/ Climate Change / M.Sc. in Environmental Management/ B. Tech/ Bachelor of Engineering Degree (those pursuing the course are welcome to apply too)
- 0 – 2 Years of work experience, knowledge of basics of climate change & decentralized energy solutions would be an added bonus
- Ability to travel to remote locations and speak languages such as Hindi/ English
