Job Description:-
- The primary objective of this position involves understanding requirements as specified in Business requirements definition document (BRD) and in functional solution design & high level technical deign; developing the solution using BI Technologies (Server and Database); unit testing; involves working independently and/or on teams, working with peers, business in deploying standard practices through BI tools and continuous improvement initiatives. Also responsible for support of application in production.
- This position will be responsible for the development and support of BI applications. This candidate will support various Business Intelligence efforts across the different sectors globally. The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of Python, Data science concepts, Application Development in BigData technologies, XML, JSON, Data Warehouse and Database design concepts, strong background in writing and tuning SQL queries with ETL knowledge being an added advantage.
- Successful candidate must demonstrate proficiency working in all the traditional BI areas, also responsible to adhere and contribute towards the Enterprise BI best practices within Eaton and responsible for coordinating support of deployed solutions.
Job Responsibilities:-
- Develops or assist in designing applications based in BI domain.
- Responsible for production support activities as per the standard ITSM process.
- Create documentation to establish requirements traceability, technical specifications and source to target mappings.
- Drives the delivery of projects from initiation through development, go-live, and user adoption.
- Provides support locally within the region and globally as needed.
- Accountable for selected project delivery including all phases of PROLaunch project management.
- Regularly communicates and reinforces status, prioritization and timing back to regional leaders and the global organization including the communication of critical success measures, issues, and mitigation strategies.
- Works across a collaborative regional team with strong personal management skills in a highly matrixed and virtual environment.
- Partners with the operations and business to ensure continued alignment and facilitate ongoing communication
