Minimum Qualifications for Facebook Recruitment Drive 2021

• 3+ years work experience In the EU institutions or UK government or EU/UK regulatory bodies or trade associations in the digital environment
• Experience managing strategic outreach with diverse stakeholders within policy advocacy or in a government position
• Bachelor’s degree
• Keen understanding of, and interest in, public policies related to data protection, technology and safety
• Excellent communication skills in English – written and verbal
• Experience navigating dynamic work environments and prioritizing multiple simultaneous projects
• Willingness to travel frequently (when company travel resumes)
• Good judgement, determination, perseverance under pressure
• Sensitive to contribute to an environment that promotes diversity and inclusion

Preferred Qualifications for Facebook Recruitment Drive 2021

• Communication skills in other EU languages (additional to English)
• Published material related to privacy policy or legislative issues
• International policy experience and project management experience

Responsibilities

• Identify, monitor and analyse privacy policy issues affecting Facebook in the UK and the EU, as well as spotting relevant links to issues in the wider EMEA region
• Develop proactive strategies to solve policy challenges
• Work closely with cross-functional global teams on a range of policy issues, moreover including strategically drafting submissions and engagement plans for local policy audiences
• Engage and build relationships with relevant civil servants, policymakers, and NGOs
• Meanwhile Build coalitions with other organisations to advance Facebook’s privacy policy goals
• Similarly, Design and lead innovative strategies and campaigns to shape the public and political climate of opinion around Facebook
• Work with the global team to develop Facebook policy positions in briefing papers, consultation responses and internal policy meetings.
