SSC Officer ( NCC Entry ):
For NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders :
Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years.
Those studying in final year are also allowed to apply provided they have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks in the first two/three years of three/four years degree course respectively.
Such students will need to secure overall aggregate of minimum 50% marks in degree course.
Should have served for minimum two/three years (as applicable) in Senior Division/Wg of NCC.
Grading should have obtained minimum of ‘B’ Grade in ‘C’ Certificate Exam of NCC.
For Wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army Personnel:
Degree of a recognized university or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years.
NCC ‘C’ certificate not required for Wards of Battle Casualties.

All final year appearing candidates whose final year/final semester exam will be scheduled after 01 October 2023 are not eligible to apply for this course.
Applications are invited from unmarried male and unmarried female (including Wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army Personnel), for grant of Short Service Commission in the Indian Army.
Those in the merit list and who come within the stipulated vacancies and are medically fit will be issued joining letters for Pre-Commission training at OTA, Chennai, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.
All candidates who successfully complete Pre-Commission training at OTA, Chennai will be awarded ‘Post Graduate Diploma in Defence Management and Strategic Studies’ by University of Madras.
Duration of training is 49 weeks at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai.
Age Limit ( As on 01 July 2023 ): 19 to 25 years (Born not earlier than 02 Jul 1998 and not later than 01 Jul 2004) Both dates inclusive.

Selection Process of Join Indian Army Recruitment 2023 | Apply before last date :
The selection process includes the Shortlisting of candidates & Interview.
After shortlisting of applications, the Centre allotment will be intimated to candidates via their email.
After allotment of Selection Centre, candidates will have to log in to the website and select their SSB dates which are available on a first come first serve basis initially.
Thereafter, it will be allotted by the Selection Centres.
Call up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective Selection Centre on candidates’ registered e-mail id and SMS only.
Candidates will be put through two stage selection procedure.
Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II.
Those who fail in stage I will be returned on the same day.
Duration of SSB interview is five days and details of the same are available on official website.
All certificates in original to be carried by the candidates for SSB interview for verification.
Originals will be returned after verification at the SSB itself.
This will be followed by a medical examination for the candidates who get recommended after Stage II.
Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate at SSB interview.
Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit, will be issued joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.

Candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply.
Candidates studying in the final year of Engineering degree course should be able to submit proof of passing Engineering Degree Examination along with mark sheets of all semesters/years.
Such candidates will be inducted on Additional Bond Basis for recovery of the cost of training at Officers Training Academy (OTA).
Educational Qualification for Widows : SSCW (Non Tech) (Non UPSC) – Graduation in any Discipline , SSCW (Tech) – B.E. / B. Tech in any Engineering stream.

20 to 27 years.

Selection Process of Join Indian Army Recruitment 2023 | Apply before last date :
The selection process includes the Interview & shortlisting of candidates which is based on the cutoff percentage of marks for each Engineering discipline/stream.
After shortlisting of applications, the centre allotment will be intimated to the candidate via their email.
After allotment of Selection Centre, candidates will have to login to the website and select their SSB dates which are available on a first come first serve basis initially.
Only shortlisted eligible candidates depending on the cut off percentage will be interviewed at one of the Selection Centres.
Allotment of Selection Centre is at the discretion of Directorate General of Recruiting, IHQ of MoD (Army) and NO request for changes will be entertained in this regard.
Candidates will be put through two stage selection procedure.
Those who clear Stage-1 will go to Stage-2.
Those who fail in Stage-1 will be returned on the same day.
