The candidate will perform the following tasks:-
Main Tasks:-
- Ensure reliability of germination test results and timely reporting.
- In coordination with other departments, ensure that the Home farm is functioning correctly, and that high standards of order and hygiene are always maintained
- Ensure water samples are send for analysis as per the protocol and the results filed as required.
- Participate in the Home farm Emergency Plan.
- Ensure that all documents in Aquarius are up to date.
- Receive and file CMM certificates for all varieties and all other GSPP document.
- Conduct CMM & TMV tests as per the GSPP Protocol
- Housekeeping of the work area Participate in Managerial Safety Visits and risk/hazard identification and reporting.
Qualification And Experience Required:-
- Diploma/ Degree in any Agricultural related course.
- 3 years of experience in similar position.
- Knowledge of GSPP sanitary measures.
- Knowledge of on the job seed- management.
- GSPP training for the personnel involved in the project and knowledge of it for the rest of the staff.
- Knowledge of GSPP standards and GSPP quality manual.
- Fluent in both English and Swahili.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office user level.
Minimum Level Of Education Required
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Level Of Experience Required
3 years or more
Languages: English (4 – Fluent)
