Come meet the world in London working as a part-time Duty Manager at International Students House (ISH).

ISH is a residential, social, and cultural center for international and British students located near Regent’s Park in central London. In addition, ISH encompasses commercial meeting and event spaces, a live music venue, and a bar, to support its charitable aims of promoting global friendship and understanding.

A Duty Manager’s Responsibilities Include:

The role of a Duty Manager is to ensure the safe and smooth running of the House on a daily basis, offering residents, guests, and clients the highest level of customer service, and providing assistance to all departments as and when required.

  • Carrying our regular health & safety inspections of the premises and its equipment
  • Acting as Fire Warden, to investigate and action fire alarms and liaise with emergency services
  • Monitoring security of the building, and liaising with external security and licensees during events
  • Maintaining security of luggage stores, lost property, and keys
  • Assisting customers with complaints and queries, and providing support and assistance to residents, staff and visitors
  • When required, to supervise and assist operations teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Completing an on-line shift report on all events and incidents

The Duty Manager position is part-time, 16 hours per week, covering a minimum of two shifts on a rota (0745-1545, 1530-2315, 2300-0800, Monday – Sunday). Additional shifts may be offered on a variable basis. Duty Managers need to have the flexibility to work variable days and shifts.
