Punjab Education Board Recruitment 2021 -Educational Qualifications

For English Subject :

(i) Should have passed Graduation with minimum 45% percent marks in the case of the persons from the General category; and
(ii) With a minimum of 40% marks in the case of the persons from the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, other Backward Classes, Backward Classes, and Physically Handicapped category, from a recognized university or institution and should have studied English as an elective subject for a period of three years;
or
Should have studied Functional English, English Literature, B.A. Honours (English), B.A. (Honours) English in Graduation; or it’s equivalent; or Should have passed Post Graduation in English; and
(I) Should have passed B.Ed. from a recognized university or an institution with English as one of the teaching subjects as per University Grants Commission guidelines

For Math Subject :

(i) Should have passed Graduation with 45% marks in the case of General Category candidates and 44% marks in the case of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Backward Classes and Physical Handicapped Candidates from a recognized university or institution and should have passed Mathematics as a subject for three years of Graduation; and
(ii)Should have passed B.Ed from a recognized university or an institution with Mathematics as one of the teaching subjects as per guidelines of University Grants Commission.

For Science Subject :

a) Science (Non-Medical)
(i) Should have passed B.Sc. with 45% marks in the case of General Category candidates and 40% marks in the case of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Backward Classes, and Physical Handicapped Candidates from a recognized university or institution with any of the two subjects i.e. Physics Chemistry and Mathematics or should have passed B.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics or any other equivalent
qualification, but a certificate of equivalency should be given by the concerned University as per guidelines of the University Grants Commission; and
(ii) Should have passed B.Ed from a recognized university or an institution with Science as one of the teaching subject as per guidelines of the University Grants Commission
b) Science (Medical)
(i)Should have passed B.Sc. with 45% marks in the case of General Category candidates and 40% marks in the case of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Backward Classes, and Physical Handicapped Candidates from a recognized university or institution with any of the two subjects i.e. Biology, Physics, and Chemistry or B.Sc. Honours) in either of these subjects or B.Sc (life science) or B.Sc (physical Science) or B.Sc (Bio+echnology) or B.Sc (Honours) or B.Sc (Industrial Microbiology) or B.Sc (Micro-biology) or B.Sc

(Bio-physics) or B.Sc (Bio-chemistry) or B.Sc (Microbial, Food Technology, Chemistry) or B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry or B.Sc. Food Science and Quality Control or B.Sc. Microbial food Technology any other equivalent qualification, but the certificate of equivalency given by the concerned University as per guidelines of the University Grants Commission; and
(ii) Should have passed B.Ed from a recognized university or an institution with Science as one of the teaching subject as per guidelines of the University Grants Commission

Apart from the above educational qualifications, candidates for the post of Master/ Mistress Teacher have to apply for RTE. Must have passed the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test Test-2 (P.S.T.E.T-2) taken by the Punjab Government under the Act.

Age Limit :

As per Punjab Government, Social Security and Women and Child Development Letter No.10/26/95-5 SS/ 1252 dated 02.05.1997, the age of the candidate should not less than 18 years and not more than 47 years. Must be between 18 to 47 years of age on 01st January 2021.

Selection Process :

A 150 mark written Test of the relevant subject will conducted at the state level for the recruitment of these posts. The merit of the candidates who have fulfilled the other requirements prescribed for the academic/ professional qualifications specified for these posts will determined on the basis of a purely written test.PSTET (2) Numbers will not added to merit.

(If more than One candidate gets equal; marks in the written test then the candidate who is older will placed first in the Merit and if more than one candidate has both the same marks and age then the candidate who has higher in graduation will be placed first. There will be percentage points, he will placed first in the merit.)
