About the job
Essential Functions
- Acts as the clients’ technical advocate within the company. Understands the various deployment options of products and also interface options. Then maps these options to meet client business needs
- Creates and also executes detailed technical checklists and processes to facilitate the implementation of products and services
- Analyzes clients’ business rules and also effectively communicates them to development, product management, documentation, support, and other individuals or teams
- Assists in the development of test plans for alpha and also beta phases of the implementation
- Analyzes technical issues and also develop creative solutions which minimize risk
- Prepares and provides product demonstrations and trainings for clients
- Develops solutions and also educates clients in the various stages of the product and service implementation cycle
- Consults with clients and also external data source/destination vendors to determine interface requirements
- Designs and develops interface solutions to meet the requirements given constraints such as limited client resources, time deadlines and technological impediments
- Analyzes, tests, deploys, validates and also documents interfaces
- Performs other assigned duties
Skills needed to be successful
- SQL, relational database, data analytics and reporting skills.
- Experience with agile methodologies such as SCRUM
- Skill with gathering requirements and also transforming them into specifications
- Ability to manage projects
- Ability to create, document and follow processes and procedures
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Domain experience in fields related to healthcare a plus, such as medical informatics, laboratory experience, and health sciences.
Technical Skills needed:
- Product installations (does this include configuration?)
- VB Script and batch script
- SQL Server
- XSLT for HL7 translations
- Java script
- HTML / HTML5 / CSS
- Data gathering and analysis
- EPL / ZPL/DYMO
In addition, we would like to see the following:
- ASTM_DM
- Pathology knowledge
- Windows OS
- Basic networking knowledge
Required Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields, or equivalent combination of technical training and also experience.
- 4+ years related experience (e.g. software development, analysis or implementation in a customer facing role) or
Preferred Experience & Education
- Proficient in XSLT, HL7, HTML, Javascript, SA – Caché, and Ensemble, PH – SQL Server
- Working knowledge of for example: Windows O/S, C++, C#, ADO.NET, ASP.NET, Databases technologies, IT/Network services, Internet information services (IIS)
- Project Management skills
- Software development experience
- Data migration experience
- Technical support experience
- working knowledge of medical laboratory workflows/Public Health Disease Surveillance workflow
