Project Name: Marine Mammal Stock Assessment in India (MMSAI).
Young Professional II:
Postgraduate in Fisheries Science/ Marine Science/Marine Biology/Zoology/Aquatic Biology/Life Science/Environmental Science/Oceanography or Equivalent.
Desirable Experiences/Qualifications: Should be seaworthy, must be physically fit, and able to swim.
Experience in marine mammal taxonomy/biology/survey/stock assessment with a strong interest in the conservation of marine mammals.
Experience in fisheries and oceanographic data collection onboard vessels/boats and experience in handling oceanographic equipment.
Experience in the identification of marine plankton/ water and sediment quality analysis/GIS/statistical software.
Experience in ocean acoustic studies/detection of marine mammal vocalizations and other biological signals using hydrophones/hydrophone data processing and analysis.
Scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals/reports.
Field Assistant:
Graduate degree in any discipline.
Desirable Experiences/Qualifications: Postgraduate in Fisheries Science/ Marine Science/Marine Biology/Zoology/Aquatic Biology/Life Science/Environmental Science/ Oceanography or Equivalent.
Candidate should be sea-worthy, physically fit/ able to swim, and with working experience in research projects.
Basic computer knowledge with proficiency in MS Office.
Work experience in Government/private office in administrative tasks and data entry.
Experience in identifying marine plankton/ water and sediment quality analysis/GIS/statistical software.
Age Limit:
Young Professional-II: 21- 45 years
Field Assistant: 35 years ( Men ), 40 years ( Women )
