“The family lived in a large house with a lot of land” designed to be suitable for children as well as adults and all the descendants of a common ancestor. A basic social unit consisting of parents and their children, considered as a group, whether dwelling together or not: the traditional family. A social unit consisting of one or more adults together with the children they care for: a single-parent. Family is the single most important influence in a child’s life. From their first moments of life, children depend on parents and to protect them and provide for their needs. Parents form a child’s first relationships.
Why does exist?
The primary function is to ensure the continuation of society, both biologically through procreation, and socially through socialization. From the point of view of the parents, the family’s primary purpose is procreation: The functions to produce and socialize children.
What’s a good family?
Still, there are several characteristics that are generally identified with a well-functioning. Some include: support; love and caring for other members; providing security and a sense of belonging; open communication; making each person feel important, valued, respected and esteemed.
