Eligibility
Responsibilities
- Investigate IT specifications to assess security risks
- Understand the design and implement safety measures and data recovery plans
- Implementation of new-age security solutions to suit on-prem and cloud IT services
- Install, configure, upgrade and operate security software like AV, EDR, web proxy and CASB
- Inspect hardware and firmware for vulnerable points of access.
- Monitor network activity to identify issues early and take proactive steps
- Act on privacy breaches and malware threats
- Serve as a security expert and participate in audits
- Secure networks through firewalls, password protection, and other systems
- Draft policies and guidelines
Requirements
- Should have 6 to 8 years experience in the security domain
- Proven experience as a Computer Security Specialist
- Familiarity with security frameworks NIST – Cybersecurity framework, ISO 2700, and risk management methodologies
- Well verse with patch management and technologies like SCCM, Bigfix
- Well versed with vulnerability scanning tools and techniques
- Good working knowledge of disk encryption using native tools Bitlocker and FileVault
- Good knowledge of security tools like Antivirus, DLP, Web proxy, etc.
- Familiarity with public key infrastructure (PKI) and cryptographic protocols (e.g. SSL/ TLS)
- An analytical mind with excellent problem-solving ability
- Good communication and organization skills
- Decision-making skills
- BE/BSc/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field; professional certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+, CISSP) is a plus
