Minimum qualifications for Google Recruitment 2021:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of product management experience. Leadership experience working with UX and engineering to deliver consumer product experiences
- Also, Experience working on Android or iOS consumer experience development
- Further more experience working in a matrixed team structure and influencing across product areas
Preferred qualifications for Google Recruitment 2021:
- Experience with hardware, wearables, sensors and algorithms
- Track record of success in the full product lifecycle: providing product vision/roadmaps, exceptional PRDs, and bringing to market high visibility and complex products on time
- Excellent communication skills; ability to influence without authority, working with technical and cross-functional teams to get things done
- Innovative problem solver, able to move quickly and think creatively in ambiguous environments
- Ability to set and drive “big picture” strategy, while also rolling up your sleeves and providing detailed guidance on individual projects
- Demonstrated ability to work in highly collaborative environments with heavy emphasis on teamwork
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with engineering and UX, and take ownership where ambiguous to inspire and deliver high accuracy algorithms on Wear
- Drive the overall product roadmap, requirements and delivery for key sensors and algorithm workstreams
- Further, Work collaboratively with platform and hardware teams to solve problems and set a roadmap at all levels of the tech stack to enable a leading experience in usability, performance, power and emotional delight
- Also, Work closely with a small and exceptional team of product managers, additional product managers across other product areas at Google and collaborate with dedicated Wear and cross-Product Area engineers
- Similarly, Coordinate the cross-functional team (PM, UX, Engineering, Marketing, Partner Engineering) across multiple Product Areas (Hardware, Assistant, Android, and key 3P apps among others)
