Minimum qualifications for Google Recruitment 2021:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with consumer hardware, cross-functional teams, including engineering, industrial/product design in module development, vendor development/management.
- Experience in program management or engineering management.
- Ability to travel.
Preferred qualifications for Google Recruitment 2021:
- 5 years of experience in program management, engineering management, developing consumer electronics, or shipping high-volume and high-quality products in consumer electronics or other devices.
- Similarly, Experience with managing functional engineering teams and working with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners.
- Also, Experience in device/hardware manufacturing, product design, device management, and channel/partner ecosystem.
- Knowledge of consumer hardware development and manufacturing processes, vendor relations and working with Contract Manufacturers (CMs).
- Ability to lead complex, strategic, and operational initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage hardware development project schedules with Engineering teams and communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Also, Identify dependencies and collaborate with a cross-functional team to execute, mitigate risks and issues, and meet system build milestones, cost, quality, and manufacturability.
- Also, Develop knowledge of consumer hardware development and manufacturing processes, vendor relations, and work with Contract Manufacturers (CMs).
- Similarly, Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate conflict resolution among a cross-functional team of Engineers. Generate the ideas required to solve the technical subjects.
- Also, Develop playbooks, tools, and processes proactively to collaborate engineering productivity and own technical relationships with cross-functional vendors and partners.
