Job Description For Optum Off Campus Drive 2023
We are looking for a production support analyst who can understand current solutions developed by Data scientists / Engineering teams and help in deploying the same to production. He/she should be able to solve the problems typically these application developers/data scientists face from the Analytical applications and be responsible for supporting, and monitoring the production platform and tightly coordinating with Optum Technology Team, making every problem of the platform a problem of their own, and solving them accordingly.
- Working with the Development / Data scientists in preparing code, so it can be deployed to production
- Liaising with Onshore Production Support and Optum Technology Team when needed
- Understanding the business criticality & support the applications across Bigdata Analytical Environment
- Coordinating with concerned development teams / Portfolio leads to fix any issues faced
- Should be able to troubleshoot the production issues
- Should be able to communicate effectively with onshore stakeholders
- Handle production outages and send periodic updates globally, as required
- Monitor business-critical applications and underlying IT infrastructure
- Understand Bigdata Architecture & the ecosystem components like hive, spark, Sqoop
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Skills Required For Optum Off Campus Drive 2023
- Good experience with Linux Servers, knowledge of Big Data, SQL Concepts, and basics of Java
- Experience with any scripting languages – Bash, python
- Experience with GitHub / SVN versioning systems
- Application support experience supporting the above-mentioned tech stacks
- Experience in Cloud, Dockers/containerization technology
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge in Full Stack Development.
- Good understanding of the production support model
- Flexible to work during weekends for production support/rollouts, whenever applicable
- Familiar with Core Java and knowledgeable on microservices.
- Familiar with Full stack development (basics to do L1 / L2 support)
- Great with Linux & good to have knowledge of windows servers as well
- Good understanding of scripting languages like Python & Shell Scripting
- Good knowledge of GitHub. Should maintain code in GitHub and maintain code with different projects/versions of the solutions accordingly
