Important Dates and Timing related to Crypto Mobile Hackathon :

Registration Period: Monday, September 20, 2021 (9:15 am Eastern Time) – Friday, October 8, 2021 (9:00 am Eastern Time) (“Submission Period”).

Registration and Submission Period: Friday, October 8, 2021 (9:00 am Eastern Time) – Friday, November 5, 2021 (5:00 pm Eastern Time) (“Submission Period”).

Judging Period: Monday, November 6, 2021 (9:00 am Eastern Time) – Tuesday, November 14, 2021 (5:00 pm Eastern Time) (“Judging Period”).

Winners Announced: On or around Wednesday, November 15, 2021 (2:00 pm Eastern Time).

What to build?

Build (or update) software applications that interact with the Celo platform.

Include functionality of DeFi and/or NFTs into your Project and/or improve developer resources with compelling SDKs or update existing ones. 

ELIGIBILITY FOR Crypto Mobile Hackathon :

individuals who are at least the age of majority where they reside as of the time of entry (“Eligible Individuals”);

Teams of Eligible Individuals (“Teams”); and

moreover, Organizations (including corporations, not-for-profit corporations and other nonprofit organizations, limited liability companies, partnerships, and other legal entities) that exist and have been organized or incorporated at the time of entry.

Language Requirements:

All Submission materials must be in English or, if not in English, the Entrant must provide an English translation of the demonstration video, text description, and testing instructions as well as all other materials submitted. Submission materials for Regional Prizes may be in either English or the local language.

Judges & Criteria FOR Crypto Mobile Hackathon :

Eligible submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges selected by the Sponsor (the “Judges”).Judges may be employees of the sponsor or third parties, may or may not be listed individually on the Hackathon Website, and may change before or during the Judging Period.Judging may take place in one or more rounds with one or more panels of Judges, at the discretion of the sponsor. 

Stage One. THEREFORE, The first stage will determine via pass/fail whether the ideas meet a baseline level of viability, in that the project reasonably fits the theme and reasonably applies the required APIs/SDKs featured in the Hackathon.

Stage Two.All submissions that pass Stage One will be evaluated in Stage Two based on the following equally weighted criteria (the “Judging Criteria”):

Entries will be judged on the following equally weighted criteria, and according to the sole and absolute discretion of the judges:

  • firstly, Technological Implementation (Does the interaction with the Celo platform demonstrate quality software development?)
  • secondly, Design (Is the user experience and design of the project well thought out?)
  • thirdly, Potential Impact (How big of an impact could the project have on the Celo platform and wider ecosystem?)
  • at last, Quality of the Idea (How creative and unique is the project?)

Firstly, the only way to truly learn a skill is by actually doing what you’ll have to do in the real world.

Secondly, I think practice can be a fun way of putting in the necessary hours. There are, however, some people who will disagree. 

Thirdly, and most importantly, it is said that people tend to remember only 10-20% of what they read or hear. Moreover, that number rises to as much as 90% when you put theory to practice.
