Hackabot 2021  Hackathon

What: Robotics enthusiasts unite! This is hackathon for beginners and joins awesome hardware with hands-on programming with a purpose. This year’s theme is “Laying the Foundation for a More Connected Future,” and the sessions will explore the theme by applying practical STEM concepts to various real-world issues. This event is open to college students with any level of coding experience.

What: Open to beginners, computer science students, and experts alike, this event offers virtual seminars along with cash prizes for coding challenge winners. Aspiring coders can work individually or in teams while learning and being inspired.

Hackja 2021

What: Perfect for experienced and beginner high school programmers alike, Hackja is a fun, 24-hour virtual event. Kids have the opportunity to learn from computer science students and professional mentors while flexing their coding muscles!

Lighthouse Hacks 2021

What: High school students will enjoy learning to code while also hearing from experts in entrepreneurship, AI, and careers in computer science. The two-day event is open to all high school students who can compete in teams of up to five participants.

Maryland Innovation Center 2021 Hackathon

What: In teams, students will complete coding challenges and also learn about real-world applications of programming in innovative fields like energy efficiency, sustainable farming, and urban planning. No coding experience is needed to participate, and according to the event website, “Every great hackathon team needs a diverse set of skills, including graphic design, business, marketing and communication for instance.”

so don’t do it only for prizes do it to gain skills and after being confident in basics move onto the advanced or intermediate level.
